An original inventory of the full donated collection is available in the collection file. This inventory is out-of-date as the books in this inventory were separated and cataloged individually.
Custodial History
John Kaiser collected this material and donated it to Rare Books and Special Collections (now the Eberly Family Special Collections Library) in 1985 and 1986. At some point, books donated with these materials were separated from the collection. It is unclear whether the display in Box 5 was part of this donation. The complete custodial history of this collection is unknown.
Processing Information
This collection was minimally processed by Special Collections staff after it transfered to the Eberly Family Special Collections Library at an unknown time and contained no original order other than materials originally housed in binders. Lexy deGraffenreid reprocessed this collection in Fall 2020 using the hybrid arrangement and description workflow due to the COVID-19 pandemic. She removed manuscripts and photographs from rusting binders and foldered them in their original sleeves. The removed single photographs from frames and housed loose photographs in folders. She also foldered loose periodicals. In titling folders, she chiefly used the titles of periodicals and original binders, but supplied folder titles for loose photographs, theater programs, and other loose materials. She arranged the materials by item type (i.e. manuscripts, photographs, perodicals) and within these groupings alphabetized the manuscripts and periodicals.
