The Charles C. Yeloushan papers consist of coal mining maps, mine engineering diagrams, reports on coal reserves, land tracts and coal properties, and photographs created in the course of his long career as mine engineer and mining consultant, both in the United States and abroad in Japan and Germany.

Biographical / Historical

While earning a degree from Penn State in mine engineering, Charles C. Yeloushan worked vacations and summers in the mines of the Rochester,and Pittsburgh Coal Company. near his hometown of Yatesboro, Pennsylvania. He applied his mine engineering knowledge as an engineer in the U.S. Army during the mid-to late 1950s. On completing service, he embarked on his professional career as a mine engineer and consultant, both in the United States and abroad in Japan and Germany.

The papers consist of coal mining maps, mine engineering diagrams, reports on coal reserves, land tracts and coal properties, and photographs.
