Fred Waring (1900 June 9-1984 July 29) was a popular musician, bandleader, and radio and television personality, sometimes referred to as "America's Singing Master" and "The Man Who Taught America How to Sing." He as also a promoter, financial baker and eponym of the Waring Blendor, the first modern electric blender on the market. This collection contains scores composed by Fred Waring and the Pennsylvanians, and songbooks published by Shawnee Press.

In November 2017, box 1401 contained records relating to Waring's business affairs. This box has been transferred to the Fred Waring papers (336). Boxes 1349, 1351-1352, 1354, 1373-1380, and 1396 relate to Roy Ringwald's business and personal activities and these were transferred to the Roy Ringwald collection (9851). Box 1402 relates to Robert Kranendonk's business and personal activities and these were transferred to the Robert Kranendonk collection (9852).
