Abstract

The State College Community Theatre was formed in 1955 and in 1959 made its home at the historic Boal Barn Playhouse in Boalsburg, Pa. The State College Community Theatre collection contains the theater's bylaws, scripts, programs, and newspaper clippings.

Biographical / Historical

The State College Community Theatre was founded in 1955 with a production of "High Pressure Homer" at the State College Senior High School. In 1959, the community theater group moved to the 200-seat, historic Boal Barn Playhouse in Boalsburg, Pa.
